walking on the nature trail in my institute, one afternoon i found a beautiful companion. the white-throated kingfisher caught a snake which seemed like a worm in the beginning. Observing it, slowly i realized that it had caught a snake which it caught in its beak for a long time. While i was trying to take its picture, it sat with the catch motionless for some 3 minutes. It moved then to the oppossite side facing its back to me. the whole process of gulping the snake down its throat took the bird some 10 minutes.. After eating it it sat still for almost 15 min just looking here and there but not moving. It was my first sighting of kingfisher with the catch. Awsome afternoon!
